"Haven't seen you in ages, we should catch up!" - about my network refreshment.
I have a lot of (ex)colleagues, acquaitances, customer contacts, friends, buddies, followers, etc. Many of them great people. Still, I don't really manage to meet them, and the "We should get together for a beer/pizza/coffee sometime to catch up!"-phenomena annoys thehell out of me - for it has a success ratio of an estimated 3%. Two things I intend to do about this. I.: I'll set up a loose evening in a standing bar, hand out beers, stick labels with tags of interest to people, and meet everyone at once. Efficiency! But no effectivity really, will not really manage to talk to the most. But rebuild connections. Have around 40 people in mind, but this numbe rcould easily grow and shrink, I haven't yet went through all my contactlists for reminders and not everyone will have time at the planned schedule. II.: I'll schedule to meet people 1:1 over lunch/beer/coffee for some closer discussions. This is gonna be a tough one, for I want to meet and talk to a lot
